Will regular twin bedsheets fit on a twin XL bed?

I am moving into a dorm room and my bed will be a twin XL bed. Will the sheets from my regular twin mattress fit on the twin xl mattress?

    No they won't. You have to purchase the XL sheets to fit ANY XL bed. The mattress is longer than a regular bed.

    Hi, They will not fit as a twin xl mattress is 5 inches longer than a regular twin.

    No, they won't fit.

    I have an extra-long twin bed, and you need special long sheets for it.

    Department stores like Target or Penney's may not have the long twin sheets, but stores specializing in bedding or "bed and bath" stuff usually carry them.
