Four years of active duty service will make you eligible for 100% of you Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits.

The amount it pays for tuition: The tuition rate paid per credit hour varies by state. It will cover the cost of the most expensive state school, in what ever state you attend school. In other words, it will cover the tuition of any state school or, for example, if the most expensive state school in your state charges $200 per credit hour and the school you want to attend is a private one that charges $300 per credit hour; You will need to make up the difference, with some exceptions. Some private schools have agreed to accept the rate that the VA will give and NOT charge the rest to the student.

The amount of the living stipend: go to http://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/perdiem/bah.html . At that site enter the zip code of the school you would like to attend, set the pay grade to "E-5" and click execute. In the pop up the amount shown under "E-5 with DEPENDENTS" is the amount you will be given for each month that you are enrolled in school. This can be used for whatever you like and is paid in cash, untaxed.

Books: You will also be granted money for books, supplies...etc. This year it is around $1000.

The program will cover bachelors, masters, graduate and other approved schools and training.

Note: If, as a part of your enlistment, prior college or school debt is paid by the branch you join; Your GI Bill benefits may be reduced or eliminated.

lets look at what you qualify for 1. like all national guard members, you get : a. Tuition assiatance - up to $4,500 per year b. reserve select gi bill - up to $335 per month for a full time student 2. you currently qualify for 50% post 9/11 Gi bill, which pays: a. 50% of your schools tuition cost b. 50% of the BAH rate for a married E-5 at your zipcode 3. you can use Tuition assiatance and the Post 9/11 gi bill at the same time so thats 1/2 tuition at your univ ( post 9/11 gi bill ), plus $4,500 per year TA - paid directly to the school you canot use reserve select gi bill and post 9/11 gi bill at the same time 4. your state may offer state guardsmen free tuition or discounted tuition, approx 50% of the states do - just depends on the state 5. without knowing the state and zipcode, cannot give exact info 6. you can also apply for financial aid ( pell grants ) - if you do, ask for the form that covers, changes in income level that is an additional form, for students whose income level has changed, due to parents divorcing, lost job, etc otherwise they will base your pell grant on last years income ( while you were deployed ) and that will be high enough, you will not be eligible. Not all school financial aid people know about this form for changed income, so keep asking, make them hunt for it 7. school jobs vs regular part time job off campus : school jobs effect the amount of financial aid you can receieve, a lot more than making the exact same amount off campus working at a restaraunt is a is plus, since most allow you to eat free the days you work and offer discounts the other days

Yes, it is possible. Use Tuition Assistance money to pay for classes while you serve and then use the GI Bill for four more years of education. Law school would certainly be doable if you finished at least another year of education while you served.

I doubt you will be able to finish your bachelors by the time your enlistment is up. But yes, it will pay for a graduate degree. However, there is a max. they will pay per credit so you need to check on that and how much your school charges.

It will pay for your higher education, but only in a university, not in a trade school. Also, if you choose to have the military pay your student loans, you can not participate in the GI bill program. Talk to a recruter, they will have all the details.
