2000 Silverado Vibrates Intermittently While Driving. What's the cause?
The truck vibrates off and on while driving. I can feather (release and press) the gas peddle and this makes it go away for a little while. Also, when it starts to vibrate, if I give it more gas, the problem seems to worsen.
The only known issues are with the fuel gauge. I'm replacing the pump and sensor next weeks, but don't know if this would cause the vibration.
Truck Specs
2000 Chev Silverado
3/4 ton with 6.0 L V8
150,000 miles
Thanks for any advice.
Definitely not the balance/rotation; as the truck should continue to vibrate at high speeds when I let off the gas.
Just checked for the *ping* noise, but didn't hear that. Sounds like it might be the U-joints from what the guys and NAPA told me. I'll check it out. Another other suggestions are appreciated!
THANKS!

Check your U-joints. If one is going bad, it can cause the vibrating you describe. Does your truck make a "ping" noise when you put it into gear?

Also check the harmonic balancer. If the rubber has deteriorated it will throw the engine off balance.

could have lost a wheel weigh so tires need balancing or maybe shocks are worn, Check both

it prob's needs an alignment
check the tires for wear and bubbles on the sidewall and such
