Is it safe to lift weights, only 10-16 lbs while on your period?

I usually do basic toning and strength training with 10-16 lbs weights, is it safe while menstruating? Or is it best not to?

    Why would that be an issue? besides making your flow a bit heavier...? Your period is not an illness or disease. You can do everything you normally would, it doesnt cause you to be bedridden.

    your period shouldn't change your ability to exercise in anyway other than maybe slight pains
