How to change default settings on memory stick?
I have a media-star 2GB memory stick and when I plug it into my computer it opens in filmstrip which is a pain in the backside as I do not keep images on this stick.
I know how to change the view but I was wondering if any of you techies out there, know how I can change the default setting so it opens in details or small icons

media star makes these things to advertise. Look closely, sometimes two drives appear when you plug in the USB stick. The first on contains the setup commands. Alternatively if only one drive appears look for files with the name autorun or similar. Either delete these or move them to a folder out of the root directory.

Change the view then save it
You may have to copy back to the HD then re-save to the memory stick in the format you want

right click on folder > properties > customize tab > "use this folder type as template " > set it to documents.
