Leaving 'Your Mark' on this world...?

Nah - doesn't do Shakespeare any good that we still study him - leave a mark for what? I think we better plan on reaping any good reputation or feedback while we're still here and alive to receive it. Beyond that, if people can still use what we did, good for them. More power to them.

I have no stake in it at all. I'm more worried about the marks of the world left on me.

Those who've left their marks/ been made famous by others are almost always something other than we know them to be. Their stories are retold to honor too much or deride too much. The marks left are reliably inaccurate.

If the people who knew me spare a remembrance here and there, it's all the honor I'd hope for.

It would be cool to be remembered for something that enriched the world. The chance of it are slim, but why can't it be me or you, the possibility only ends when you die.

Maybe no-one has to know about it in a big way. As long as the people who matter remember me for good reasons, I'm happy with that.

I think that in peoples greatest times of need I have been able to help them medically and hopefully done it with their spirituality cared for as well. If I am remembered for that after I am gone, great, but if I am not I am alright with that also. I have excepted that even if I am not remembered for helping people I can live my entire life knowing that I have done so.

what good will leaving a mark on the world do you? forget the world, leave a mark on yourself. the world forgets, eventually all things. the mark you leave on the world becomes just another brick in the wall, as we are all just another face in the clouds... to the world... but to ourselves... we are everything. we are eternity. we are alpha and omega. a mark we make on ourselves lasts forever, in the spot light. it never fades. and in marking yourself, acting as your own canvas, you implicitly leave an impression upon the world, as the pencil does the pad.

I think my death will make it to the headlines of my country.Not because of who I am but because of my death.I think I will be killed.I can imagine people protesting against violence after that.I don't wish to be famous,but I wish I will make a difference to the lives of the few people that know me and that I love.If I can save a few people's life till I die then that would just make me more happy at the time of death.
