Oil leak 87 camaro sport?

I noticed a small drip, mainly while the car was running, about 2 weeks ago. I changed the oil last week drove it home and then was out of town for a week so it didn't move. I started the car today to see if i could find the leak and a solid stream is now coming out while idling. I found out it's coming from somewhere under the distributor cap.

What could this be? I've heard that a typical problem is the pressure sending unit, but the only time my idiot light has come on is when i hit the breaks pretty hard, then it turns off.

Where is the pressure sending unit and what could this leak be from?

Thanks

Update:

Alright well my distributor cap isn't necessarily near my oil filter. Could it still be the sending unit?

The oil sending unit is right beside the Dist. a little bit to the driver side. It has a black hard plastic body crimped onto a steel ''bottom'' that threads into the block with a 1/8 Inch pipe thread. It is not uncommon for these to after time to start leaking where the steel crimps onto the hard plastic. Not a hard fix, just unplug the wire, unscrew the unit and replace the the new one from auto-parts store of your choice. I believe a 7/8 or 15/16 12groove sockets fits, i usually use a pair of channel lock pliers myself.

probably is the OPSU located kind of below the distributor cap and plug wires on the driver's side. It connected to the the top of this cylinder looking thing. if the hose isn't connected will shoot oil everywhere. DO NOT RUN the car until its fixed you are going to just waste money and maybe ruin your motor. but dont worry its not hard to fix. good luck

From what i know your oil pressure sending unit will

be near your oil filter . Unless your distributor is close

to your oil filter, its not the pressure sending unit

    thats leaking.
