I need to switch my dryer from 4 wire to 3 wire in order to fit the outlet at my apartment. I tried searching past answers and couldn't find a good one regarding my question.

When I convert to 3 wire do I put neutral and ground on the same terminal? Or am I just confused and there will be no neutral wire just 2 hots and a ground?

I believe the belt is squealing but this only happens on the first start of the day. I can start the car shut it off then restart it and the noise will go away. That seems odd to me because if it were the belt wouldn't it squeal all the time? Only when engine is cold and on the first start.

The belt looked good to me, no cracks at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My gti makes a winding sort of noise when i am not pressing the clutch. When i press the clutch it goes away. Although it makes a similar noise if the car is moving even if the clutch is not pressed.

What could this be caused by?

I went to look at a car to purchase today. 2000 VW GTI 1.8T 5 speed.

I pulled off the oil filler cap to check for smoke. I heard that smoke or "blowby" coming from the cap is bad. The car was still cold when i did this. No smoke came out but a ton of air was.

Should i be worried if it's just air with no smoke?

Does it matter that the car wasn't warm yet?

My left forearm which isn't my dominant arm. About an inch from my wrist. On my radius not ulna. It is slightly swollen and just a tiny bit red. It is a little tender to the touch. It hurts when I move my hand certain ways especially under any load, like holding a clip board.

I don't remember doing anything to hurt it.

About 3 days ago it started hurting out of the blue. I thought it was a bruise. The last couple days have been a bit worse than the first.

While driving straight down the road my steering wheel is turned to the right. My car doesn't really pull either way the steering wheel is just crooked. I was wondering if i got an alignment would that fix the crooked steering wheel?

My 96 land rover discovery has a plastic radiator cap, the top broke off and a lot of chunks of plastic are now floating around in my radiator, some big some small. Should i worry about them clogging or something?

I'm thinking about buying a 92 f150 ex. cab 4x2 5.0 ltr truck for about $400 i want to drive it until it gives me a problem then sell it to one of those places that will buy a scrap car.

How much will one of those places give me?

Or is it better to take parts off like the cat converter and stuff and sell them to a metal yard?

So i am thinking of buying a truck with a plow to make some money this winter (i live in Minnesota)

Do you need to be a specific age to operate a truck with a plow? (I'm 17)

Do you need to pay more for insurance?

How much should i charge?

Is an 8'6" plow street legal? that's huge

what are some good things to look at when considering a used plow truck?

what are good ways to prevent things from going wrong with the plow?

wont the plow scrape the pavement? how do you avoid that?

Hi i'm looking at buying an 84 camaro. It has a new motor and transmission.

The only thing the guy says is wrong with it is that "Need a lash back adjustment in the rear"

What does that mean and about how much would it cost at a shop if i got it done, or can i do it myself. I need to know soon so that i can negotiate price.

I noticed a small drip, mainly while the car was running, about 2 weeks ago. I changed the oil last week drove it home and then was out of town for a week so it didn't move. I started the car today to see if i could find the leak and a solid stream is now coming out while idling. I found out it's coming from somewhere under the distributor cap.

What could this be? I've heard that a typical problem is the pressure sending unit, but the only time my idiot light has come on is when i hit the breaks pretty hard, then it turns off.

Where is the pressure sending unit and what could this leak be from?

I bought a 1987 Chevy Camaro Sport Coupe, Online there is a guy selling a 1984 Z28. I want to use the hood and Trunk lid and maybe some other body parts on my camaro because they look better (ram air hood, etc)

I want it to be a cool car to drive around as a daily driver. Is this a huge project or how bad would you judge it to be? I can do some work by myself. I would want to change the hood on this one.

My friend has a Mazda rx8 40th anniversary edition. It's nice and fast. My bud is a pretty crazy driver, weaving traffic and getting into races. He is constantly pushing his car to it's limits.

Today we went and bought some adr venomous rims to put on his car. The rims match the stock size (18") and he is planning on putting his high performance tires on them from his stock rims. I was wondering if he should have any reason to be concerned about problems with his aftermarket rims. Things such as the tire blowing off in a hard turn or the rims not being able to hold up during the massive amount of force he puts on them from racing and driving so crazy. And high speeds~ 100mph and much higher?

I had my ear gauged to 00 at one point. Trying to decide if i should do it again. I typically wear solid color plugs, usually black or white.
