Mind games have it that when facing something we can't deal with, we.........?
pretend it's not there. This reminds me of those who say Jesus never existed. They even try to tie others hands by saying, "don't refer to this, or that."
There is more proof Jesus existed than many other characters from history.
What's the big deal about admitting he was there?

Almost all serious biblical scholars believe that he more than likely did exist. However nearly all of them are also convinced he was nothing more than a man, a common-to-his-times apocalyptic prophet who, thanks to Paul, was eventually mythologized and deified, and whose cult spread to what we know as Christianity today.
The disputation of his existence is really beside the point, and very few scholars take this position. The point is that he was not a god-man, as there are no such things as god-men.

Once people admit that theres a possibility he MIGHT have existed, the christian fundies jump on them like blood in a shark tank. Its easier to say he was fictional, just to keep the sharks from taking off an arm. I thought the analogy was fitting, considering religion and spirituality are a sensitive subject.

Do you know what a false premise is?
Perhaps I can use the same format on you,
Mind games have it that when you can't deal with reality, you pretend it doesn't exist and turn instead to religion.

What proof? I'll gladly take a look at this "evidence" and if it stands the rigor of investigation, hell, I'll convert.
Waiting on you, champ.
