One of my brothers actually met and talked with Larry Niven at a Con once. If you had used one of the K'zinti nanowire swords you could have just diced it up. But according to Lewis Carrol, the only sporting weapon to use on a Bandersnatch is a Snickersnee. Haven't read any Niven/Pournelle stuff in over 20 years. This is going to be classed as "Chat" by the powers that be, but a .577 Tyrannosaur would not even bother a Bandersnatch. Didn't I see a similar creature in "Avatar"?
