What is the driver for setting up my Pixma MP490 printer?

I'm trying to setup my printer for my macbook pro. There was a a pink paper that came with the instructions that said when I put in the install cd if a certain message comes up to click "check latest info" and DO NOT press "ok." So I did that, and I think that I have found the driver, but there are so many options of what to download for it at the Canon website. I have downloaded a couple of things, and have restarted my computer. The message keeps coming up to "check latest info," and I don't know what to do now. Any suggestions?

Update:

Ya, I've already done that downloaded the drivers, but every time I open the install cd, it keeps saying to check for latest updates. I have done this a few times now, and don't know what else to do.

Just select your operating system and download

After it is downloaded an rerady to install

Just turn on the printer and disconnect the usb cable, and then just follow the screen prompts and it will let you know when to cconnect the USB cable

Edit: Have tried to completly uninstall the printer first to see if that helps ?
