Christians, Could Jehovah Gods Statement (here in the book of Isaiah) Include the "internet"?
For never before "As we speak" has this been possible , Please not Verse 9.........
(Isaiah 43:5-11) 5 “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. From the sunrising I shall bring your seed... ( Jesus True Followers), and from the sunset I shall collect you together. 6 I shall say to the north, ‘Give up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not keep back. Bring my sons from far off, and my daughters from the extremity of the earth, 7 everyone that is called by my name (Jehovah) and that I have created for my own glory, that I have formed, yes, that I have made.’ 8 “Bring forth a people blind though eyes themselves exist, and the ones deaf though they have ears. 9 Let the nations all be collected together at one place, and let national groups be gathered together. Who is there among them that can tell this? Or can they cause us to hear even the first things? Let them furnish their witnesses, that they may be declared righteous, or let them hear and say, ‘It is the truth!’” 10 “YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. 11 I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.”

Ok, my two cents: I look at it this way; we use every means available to help others learn the truth in the scriptures. There is phone witnessing, letter writing, approaching others in the park, in parking lots, truck stops, rural territory (where most anyone cannot get into). And of course, we talk to people in the grocery store, the doctors office and the list goes on!
LOL! Could be why people find us annoying but if there house was on fire and we went up to them and excitedly yelled, YOUR HOUSE IS ON FIRE...LET ME HELP YOU PUT OUT THE FLAMES...I JUST CALLED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT! Do you think they would look at us a little differently?
This is life saving work. The end of this system will not come until everyone has a chance to hear about it. We are not holding up in cathedrals and temples waiting for others to decide that it might be nice to drop by on Sunday. No way! We go to each person and say; "Would you like a free home bible study?"
As far as the internet or here in Yahoo !...not quite so dramatically but we can still give a sincere, heart-warming reply along with scriptural backing to an answer. I sometimes offer the person to email me, which a few have done. As well, I often leave a link.
That is what I will end this with. :-)

As others have said there have been many that have changed their thinking of Jehovah's people because of the Internet.
I would also like to point out the reason I leave my email open here on Y!A is because of the question I get from others on my answers. Yes I have had plenty read me the right act, but then there are those that are really seeking the truth and ask sincere questions.
We will never know how many we touch for it is Jehovah that draws those with the right heart condition to Jesus.
Over twenty years ago I was having a study, the nephew of my study happen to come in during the study and set in the living room, I was unaware of this, some 5 years or so later I found out this young man contacted the Witnesses where he lived and today he is a pioneer. His parents and siblings disowned him but from what I hear have since excepted the fact that he has made the truth his own.
That same study neighbor's daughter who was a Catholic heard me read the scripture that the saying of many words in prayer is not approved by God, she stopped being a Catholic, became a Church of Christ and now is a Jehovah's Witness.
Matt 13:47-49 comes to mind where it says: (NIV) 47 "Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. 48 When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away. 49 This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous .
We know not who Jehovah will draw to Jesus, the scriptures say men of all sorts, we should use whatever means is available to make Holy our great God's name as Matt 6:9 says. At Isa 43:11; Isa 42:8; & Psalms 83:18 we are told God's name, those that find this precious truth is drawn to Jesus by Jehovah for Jehovah knows that Jesus will Sheppard his people with the loving care and kindness to bring them out of this wicked system and into his new world and back to perfection and an approved standing before Jehovah.
www.watchtower.org has had many visitors because of Y!A, and many of minds have changed because of this site, we will always have those who hate us, but if even 1 out of a 1000 we talk to change their thinking we are sowing the fine seed.

OK, let's unpack this and understand its context.
This is Isaiah of Babylon (Isaiah 40-53). His historical prophetic mission was to persuade the exiles to return. That is, the people of Judea (the area near Jerusalem) had been hauled off to Babylon as slaves, but the coming of the Persian king Cyrus (see Isaiah 45) has started a new regime without slavery. So, the whole thrust of this part of Isaiah is to get the descendants (the seed) of the ones carried into exile to go home to Jerusalem.
There's another similar theme going on: the ingathering of the diaspora. The people of Judea were scattered all over the world at the time of the Babylonian captivity, and this passage is about getting them back together.
A third theme, which fills much of the Hebrew Bible's prophetic literature, is the yearning for the end of tribalism (the "nations" are the tribes of the Levant in Isaiah's usage) and the gathering of all peoples before the holy One. We can see this on the focus on "no other Gods;" the various tribes had their own deities.
How can this be meaningful to us today? How can we reinterpret this historical material to show us how we might live faithfully? Do we, like Isaiah's people, need to be prodded and begged to claim abundant life as free people? Do we need to be booted out of our comfort zones? Well, yes.
Are we stuck in tribalism and division? Do we need the prophet to remind us that the way of tribalism and false gods isn't the best way? Do we have something we can learn from strangers ("their witnesses?") Well, yes.
Does the global internet serve the cause of getting us out of our comfort zones and our tribalism? Does it bring the nations together? Does it "prepare the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God?" Is this electronic highway a highway to bring us together?
I think so.
But it's possible to exaggerate this. Radio and television are pretty much the same deal. It seems to me that God keeps throwing us ways of bringing the nations together, and we often misuse them.
Grace and peace to you.

That's stretching it a bit too far, though I certainly believe the Internet can be a Highway of Holiness when commanded by the Holy Spirit! That is why Christians are not frightened to use it in order to proclaim the loveliness of the Saviour - to reach out to the unsaved in Jesus' name - as we do here on this particular site.
The passage in Isaiah is about Israel being God's chosen witness to the nations; how he will gather her together for that purpose. Christians are God's chosen witness to the nations about Jesus and the gospel of salvation in him. They are to proclaim Jesus all over the world, and it now appears that this Great Commission can be accomplished within one generation, as never before! That's exciting because Jesus said that the gospel would have to be preached in every nation, as a testimony, before he returns.

Are you asking if Jehovah is "with us" on the internet? If so, then I would have to say yes, because already, I know of 3 who love Jehovah and it is all because of using Y/A.
Our society says that where ever the people are - that is where we should go! They use the internet themselves, so they MUST approve!
There are some really genuine questions on here, seeking answers that they just do not receive from the very people who should know better.
I truly believe Jehovah is with me because I am not a good speaker, yet I find my fingers flying over the keyboard with sentences that I would not normally think of - due to panic! I have also received emails saying that I answer with kindness - THAT is Jehovah's Spirit helping me, to which I am SO grateful!
Like anything, the internet is abused and there are some who claim to be witnesses, but by their very action - words, they prove quite the opposite, but this does not mean we should stop coming on here and trying to do a fine witness for Jehovah.

Could this include the Internet?
It could - but it could also include any means of technology that can spread the good news, from the printed page, to the various media means. Modern transportation could also be included.
But do I think that these were specifically foretold through this scripture? I feel it is more of a case of God allowing us the access to these and the ability to see how all these can be used to the advantage of the spread of the good news of God's kingdom.

Absolutely.
The Internet (specifically Yahoo Answers) is one of the main reasons that greatly contributed to how and why I'm a baptized member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses today (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Atlts... ).
Like brother "fixerken" stated, I too receive numerous emails from very sincere people who would like to know more about our Bible based beliefs and or the Bible in general (I also get hate emails from unsincere people. LoL!).
I answer such persons using the Scriptures and information published by the faithful and discreet slave and direct them to our main official website where they can request to have a free home Bible study and or encourage them to ask questions to Jehovah's Witnesses when we come to their door and or when / if they see us in our public Ministry or to simply feel free to attend their local Kingdom Hall as a guest visitor.
Some people that I use to run with when I was part of the world frequently come to Yahoo Answers for the specific purpose of reading and seeing what Jehovah's Witnesses have to say due to the fact that they know that I make use of Yahoo Answers and have MANY fellow Witness friends who are here. My former drummer is one such person. She is very nervous about actually attending the Kingdom Hall (due to a VERY bad experience she had with religion / Christendom. I'm working with her slowly on this one), but she LOVES reading the Watchtower and Awake magazines and she really likes the way Jehovah's Witnesses answer on Yahoo Answers.
Many Witnesses (even the ones who use Yahoo Answers right now) have absolutely no idea of just how many sincere people are actually reading and watching them through Yahoo Answers... again, I myself was one of those people not too long ago and am living proof. "Lone Dissenter" is another one, our brother "Pestie" is another one who benefitted greatly from Yahoo Answers and there are MANY more I'm sure.
Technology can be used for good or bad, in spreading the Kingdom Message it is being used as a powerful force for good.

I have been gooleing for proof but I can not find it but I will say it anyway .
I am old & I remember my parents telling me that JW used to broadcast sermons from boats with loud speakers that could be heard for miles .This I could not find proof of.
Jehovah's Witnesses in Australia used to use the radio to preach but where banned because they where accused of transmitting secret messages to the Germans which of course was proved wrong.
The point I am making is that JW's used the technology of the day to preach so why is the internet different ?
The only draw back I see is you can have bad associations on the net but you are in control so if someone is not quite right in your bible trained mind , block them .

The internet has been instrumental in reaching those with the word of Godwho would otherwise not be available. Jehovah said that he would "speed it up" in this time of the end.
And what better way to reach the masses than through technology!

Don't hide God's words and tell people as many you can!
Internet included? To my answering is YES! To tell people about Jehovah no matter where you at or where you tell them about Jehovah.
