What are some ideas for a quick and easy dinner for two?
So this guy that I've been dating, his birthday is coming up this weekend. I want to cook him dinner but I'm not the world's greatest cook. So I'm looking for simple recipes but that are tasty.
I also need something quick cause it will most likely be next Tuesday and I have work all day. If anyone knows of a recipe where I can prepare most of the stuff the night before that would be super helpful.
Thanks!

Are you saying it's for Tuesday as in tomorrow? Definitely check out allrecipes.com - they have a ton of recipes, most of which are pretty easy, and the ratings help you pick out one that should be good.
Do you have any idea what he likes? Simply type in "london broil" (for instance), and then sort the results by rating, and look for one with a lot of reviews. Do you have a grill? Grilling makes cooking and cleanup pretty easy during the summer.
Here are a few suggestions based on different types of meat -
London Broil - try the london Broil II recipe. You'd need to put it in the marinade the night before, but it's simple, and quick, and tastes great. If you don't have a grill, try broiling it. London Broil's cheap, and when cut and cooked right, it's great. Just a note though - this recipe calls for flank steak, but it really should be london broil.

Salmon - there should be TONS of them on there - salmon is quick, easy, and doesn't take much. Try the Salmon with Dill recipe. Only thing I would change is to sprinkle some lemon juice on top of the salmon before cooking - it will take away some of the "fishy" taste.

Whole Lobster - Expensive, but so, so easy, and fun to try to eat. All you have to do is stick it into boiling water and serve with melted butter. Directions for how long they take can be found on the bag they come in. Only downside is that they would have to be bought that same day, and, they're messy, so they may not be great for a real romantic dinner.
Chicken Marsala - Easy and good - he'll be impressed. Just serve it over noodles, and maybe make a Caesar salad and garlic bread as a side.

Chicken Parm - Again, easy and good. Just put sauce on top and serve over noodles with a side caeser salad and garlic bread.

I could literally go on forever here, but there are definitely a lot of easy and good recipes on there. Another suggestion, if you want to take on a challenge, is to make lasagna. You can put it all together this weekend, cover it, and then freeze it. Then simply cook it longer on Tuesday. Or you could do it the night before, cover it, keep it in the fridge, and then pop it in the oven for just over the regular amount of time on the day of his dinner.
While it would take a long time to cook, the actual day of would have minimal actual cooking - it's just waiting while it's in the oven. You use the time to make the salad and garlic bread, which are both simple. It also would give you a good chance to chat, have some wine, and enjoy each others company without being stressed about cooking. Another good thing is that he can bring leftovers into work for lunch for the next two days to show off haha.
One of the best lasagna recipes is here - it's great, but takes a long time. It seems tough, but it really isn't. Just very time consuming.

A good basic/starter recipe is here
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Easy-Lasagna-II/Detai...
I've made both - the worlds best lives up to it's name, and the easy is still very good (although I edited it slightly - added some sausage), and saves a TON of time.
Anyway, if you just go to allrecipes, and you pick out a mean/main dish you want, do a search, and sort by rating, you're bound to get something you can figure out.
Good luck!

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aMagd
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

Hi Elizabeth, thanks for the opportunity to answer. My mom was sitting in a doctor's office, when she picked up a magazine, Real Simple. She noticed, as she was flipping through the pages, a bunch of recipes. These recipes are available online, and I've included the link. They include an "Enhanced Recipe Search" feature, which lets you pick what you'd like to make for your date. The other link let's you choose a recipe a day for as long as you're interested. If you like today's dish, you should see tomorrow's. Week one is available now; but if you give me best answer (I need the points) I'll include Weeks 2, 3, and 4 (a full month's subscription) at no extra cost to you.

Lasagna and green beans. It's what I'm cooking right now. Don't make it more complicated than it has to be. Just use the lasagna noodles, spaghetti sauce, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese.

you can buy bagged fillets of frozen tilapia or any other fish, grill up some veggies, and make a pasta. or you can make homeade pizzas, burgers and fries, grilled chicken salads, stir fry, paninis, or you can make stuffed shells (make them the night before, freeze them, and then just heat them up and add sauce). he'll like anything u make, so dont stress to much
