Flying to Boston MassachusettesnSaturday from the United Kingdom?

I am wondering if my flight would be cancelled due to Hurricane Earl. Does the airport in Boston normally get shut down during hurricane season. Or does Boston Normally avoid such things happening.

There is a good chance that your flight might be rescheduled due to the hurricane. It's kinda hard to avoid a hurricane if it's determined to come by for a visit. You've got to remember, it's not just a matter of the airport being closed, Earl will be swinging out into the North Atlantic and may disrupt air service anyway. Right now it's about 450 miles across. Just keep in touch with your airline

At the present time the path of Hurricane Earl is uncertain but the most recent projection has the track most likely 150 miles (250km) to the southeast of Boston. In that case Boston will experience at most a little rain and the airport will remain open.

If in fact the hurricane's path is a even direct hit on Boston it is scheduled for Friday afternoon and the airport will be shut then but will reopen once the storm passes so you still should have no problem.

Being from Boston I can tell you that the last time we had a hurricane in my memory was in the 80s so don't be worried about Logan (The airport) closing down. The water would be way to cold to support the climate that's needed for a hurricane to thrive which will cause it's death before it even comes close to New England.

Have a blast in Boston it's a really great City
