Why do atheists and antichristian claim to be tolerant when they are only "tolerant" of those they support?

Atheists hate the truth, which is God, His Word, and those who follow His Word.

Matt. 7:6..."Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." While I understand what you're saying, expecting anything less than what you've gotten isn't surprising. There is no true tolerance. Everyone has something that they're not willing to accept or tolerate. When push comes to shove, all of us will shove back. As Christians, we are given a Commission by the One whom we serve to "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you..." (Matt. 28:19-20). When we do what our faith says is right, we're gonna step on some toes, offend someone, and cause someone to be intolerant of what we're doing. No one likes to be told that what they're doing is sinful. It used to be a normal part of life in America to speak freely of Biblical values...in schools, jobs, politics, and every other area of this country. But, because the body of Christ has allowed the Gospel message to be watered down with entertainment & showmanship, this is what we now have. Our people have shot themselves in the feet with their own actions & attitudes. We have allowed the wolves to come in & tear our salvation message to rags. It's no wonder so many look at us & laugh. They see our leaders live sinful lives with no remorse. They see us yelling & cursing at others, in their attempts to change what's happening (yelling never solves anything). We are supposed to be showing people Jesus, yet when people look at us, He's nowhere to be found. I've lived a very long time in this world & have seen a lot done in the name of Jesus...some were amazing & life-changing...and others that did more damage than good. If we want to be taken seriously, then we need to live as Jesus did. And that means reading the Word of God daily & putting it into practice in our daily lives. When we truly do that, it will attract others without a word being said. The Word of God says a lot about light (John 8:12, Romans 2:19, 2 Corinthians 4:5-7, Colossians 1:12, Ephesians 5:8, 1 Thessalonians 5:5, and 1 John 1:5-10). And finally, God's Word says this about being a light..."For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, 'I have set you to be a light of the Gentiles, that you should be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.'" (John 13:47). We need to be about our Father's business, while there's still time left. Wrangling over who's the biggest at intolerance doesn't do anything for the kingdom of God. It just drives more people away from the very thing that will matter most in their lives. We're just the messengers, so we need to make sure that the message we're delivering is from God's Word & allow that Word to do the work that it needs to do in each life, according to God's purposes. The people whom you complain here ( of course ) don't know with what amount of Love and Concern the Christians are pressing them to know about Christianity and the free Spiritual Salvation through the sinless Blood of Jesus Christ . I do hope they will know and understand things in detail after being flung in to the Eternal Fire . No doubt ,there is a God and there is a Great Judgment Day in which all righteous people will be rewarded and all the evil-loving and evil- doing sinners will be Punished . Nothing new in it .This is the logic of the world itself . The good are rewarded with the world's greatest awards and the criminals ( the evil ones ) are just Punished even with Capital Punishments . I don't know why the atheists are fighting against the Christian Logic .

Because most Atheists cannot live in peace with other people, they only can get along with their own kind , and with un believers, they hate all of the believers of the world, as long as you believed in some thing, they persecuted you call you names, mock your God and your beliefs. , Most atheists are racist and communist, this whole mess came from Europe . Atheists denying God, and mocking the evidence of God existence is our existence. The universe and life prove that God is real. The Atheists lack of experience with living peacefully, in a religious and God centered manner, is show so badly. They just cannot get along with others and this is a crime shame , the difference between an atheists, and some one in love with Christ , are bigger than the difference , between life and death. They do not respect others that differ from their point of view. They do this with their thoughts, ways they questions, they are to ignorant to see how rude and racist they are. I'm sorry. But the last time I checked, I dont know of any atheists going up to christians and saying "you better start believing exactly the same thing I believe because if yo dont convert, you'll burn for an eternity in a fiery pit of torture because god is just that horrible and he will do that to you for believing your own thing and having your own mind frame. because my god hates everyone who doesnt follow him like a puppet." I'm not saying your religion is bad. Really I mean no offense to any christians out there (my father is christian and I am pagan and he is fine with it =D) But its more when we get told we're burning forever for having our own minds. So, to make a long story short, when both sides call a truce at exactly the same time, I'll start playing nice with every christian I meet. I wont be warry anymore around them, and I'll come to them for advice and guidance. Because neither side is really tolerant. the atheists arent angels (No pun intended- lol!) But neither are the christians (Again: no pun intended- Lol!)

I am an atheist. I am not anti-Christian. I have nothing against anyone who is religious, I just don't believe in a god. Yet you claim atheists are intolerant. By extension, you claim I am intolerant.

Robert, I can see your concern, it makes me think why was prayer taken out of school and why does ones belief different from another? Why is the word of GOD turn around and twisted to where those that could be saved, don't want to have any thing to do with it? Also why are Christan's today making it harder for others to know Christ as their savor and lord? I think because of witch craft that has developed in our religious groups today. Making them selves to be so clean and righteous and every one else has a demon, if they don't think like they do, or follow their group of worship. So sad NO wonder there is a falling away of the churches today, witch craft has came in to the churches, not all but a lot of churches don't point to JESUS and him alone, to much confusion. We should be able to go in to a church and in quietness learn and pray and praise God and our Lord JESUS CHRIST with salvation in spiritual songs of praise not confusion and things of the world in it, sounds like the devil'S band. I was told by a christan that I had a DEMON over religion, she couldn't understand what I was trying to write and Just like Jesus talks in-parables she didn't understand my sayings, and just like Jesus I'm mad at Christan's that turn the word of truth in to a lie and the Church allowing thefts to take the word of god out of it and place it with lies. I don't care who vocalizes Christianity, as long as they aren't using the public schools or government places to do it. Believe whatever you want, but I have the right to be free from YOUR religion.

Perhaps if Christians stopped their intolerant, egotistical, hate filled and bigoted postings things might change!!

Perhaps if Christians stopped eschewing education, science, evolution works of fiction and much, much more things might change!!

Perhaps if Christians stopped being the only religion opposing human rights and persecuting gays, pro choice and so much more things might change!!

Perhaps if Christians stopped demanding freedom of religion whilst they deny it to all non Christians and persecute them things might change!! !!!

If Christians rediscovered the god of love and forgiveness and put aside all those terrible human emotions things would definitely change!!!!

Why are Christians so afraid of people who simply do not believe in any god?!!!! Surely it can only be because they are so afraid that atheist are right and they are wrong or it would not bother them!!!!!!

Time for Christians to understand that it is not about god, jesus or belief but about the terrible Christians attitudes and behaviour!!

As soon as they rediscover the loving god Christianity used to have and start acting like it the problem will cease!!!
