is there a way to use an external monitor to see opening bios screens on a lap top?

i have a laptop with a busted screen. i want to load a new o/s is this possible? .

like to use my external monitor as if it were my laptop lcd before windows loads.

    Yes, just have the laptop off before you plug in the monitor to it. Once it's plugged in, turn on the laptop and the device will automatically recognize the external monitor. I've done this several times in the past with a couple different laptops.

    Yep, definitely. Just attach the cable from your monitor to your laptop and you're good to go.

    There might be a combination of keys that you can press to toggle between video outputs. You would have to check with your manual for this.
