What's the proper name of the stylized brand name often in chrome on the back end of vehicles? Maxima etc..?

Not talking about dealership branding add-ons.

Example: a Nissan Maxima will have "MAXIMA" in chrome letters on the back end.

a Dodge Caravan has "Caravan" in chrome letters on the back

Also is there a database that has many images of these?

Update:

badge & emblem are getting me closer to what I'm looking for than anything else though it brings up a lot of symbol logos. I was hoping there was some trade word for the chrome vehicle logotype.

Proper name? I just call it a badge (even though it's lettering)...probably the proper name would just be "automotive lettering" except where the lettering is attached (ala some porsches) where it would just be badge lettering. It's basically (usually) just vacuum metallized plastic with chrome finish adhered with 3m sticky tape (in modern vehicles)...whereas it used to be post mounted in older cars.

Just use google images to look at badges.

It is product branding, or vanity logo! Strictly advertisement!
