I need helping building a gaming computer.?
ok I am trying to build a gaming computer, but I really dont understand the process of actually "building" one on my own. Could someone help me by building a gaming computer that is able to run all the newest games on max graphics (desktop computer btw) but not over do it? If you know what i mean. Like i dont need 24 gigs of ram or something but enough to last me 2-3 years. Im willing to spend up to 3000$
Please dont post stuff like websites, ive been to them all almost and its not helping me, because I still dont understand what i need exactly. I want the best of the best, without over "besting" it xD? if that makes sense.
Ive looked at Newegg ibuypower, dell, alienware, nw-falcon, buydirectpc and others it still doesnt help me, please help! I will totally high-five the person who gets me the best computer, even if you just link me each part individually from like newegg or something ><.
just send an e-mail to asylumsaint@gmail.com if you want to help me man, that works, its an alternate e-mail that i only use for people i dont know so i dont mind posting it :P

What part of building the computer are you having trouble with? Are you having trouble picking out the right mix of components or are you having trouble understanding how the specs of each component relate to one another (like whether or not a mobo (motherboard) has usb 3.0 or the difference between 3gig and 6gig SATA ports?
For the kind of money you are willing to spend, along with your lack of computer experience, I'd suggest something like ordering from Digital Storm. Alienware (from Dell) is good but Digital Storm allows a wider variety of customization to better fit your budget and needs. They will also overclock your cpu and graphics card so that you can expect better than standard performance right out of the box without doing anything else. That way, you can decide if you want to try to get into overclocking and system tweaking or you like your system fine just the way it is.
If you just need the parts, this is what I would buy, all from Newegg:
Processor: Core i5 750: $195
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...
Aftermarket CPU Cooler: Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro: $36
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...
Mobo: ASUS P7P55D-E Pro: $180
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...
RAM: Corsair Dominator 4GB DDR3 memory $115 ($20 mail-in rebate)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...
HDD: This is a bit of a toss up. SSD (solid state drives) are noticeably faster but are still at a premium for their size. You could get a small SSD for your OS and then get a WD caviar black 1TB drive for all your programs and such. Or you can spend a bit less ($140 from newegg) and get a 150GB velociraptor for your boot drive and still get the 1TB drive for all your storage. You have enough to get the SSD for your boot drive (and a few programs) and use a 1TB HDD for the rest.
OCZ Vertex 2 90GB SSD: $239 ($20 mail-in rebate)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...
WD Caviar Black 1TB bare drive (no cables,) 64mb cache, SATA 6.0: $90
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...
Graphics card: Palit GTX460 Sonic Platinum Overclocked edition in SLI mode. Buy 1 and 1 later or both now and the performance is better than a single GTX 480, plus they are already overclocked: $240 (or $480 if buying two.)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...
Power Supply: Minimum 850 watts, Corsair and XFX make a very good 850 watt psu. Corsair is slightly higher ($170 vs. $150) but their reputation is rock solid. Both come with $20 mail-in rebates.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...
Case: HAF 922. Tool-less drive bays, side panel behind mobo slightly bulged to allow cable storage, tie brackets, excellent air flow, can't ask for better. $90
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...
Media Drives: LG WH10LS30K 10X Blu-ray Burner: $110
Media Drives: Lite On CD/DVD RW: $30
You don't need links to find them.
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit OEM (1 install) $140
Total cost: $1,875.85 with 2 GTX 460
Shipping: UPS 3 day: $18.70
That leaves you almost $1100 for a monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers. Trade the SSD for a 150 GB Velociraptor and only get 1 GTX 460 now and you can knock $350 off that price. Not the very best computer but certainly no slouch when it comes to performance.

Building a computer isn't hard, but you don't want to start off building something expensive.
If you still are interested tomorrow, Ill make you a $2500 setup. Then what you should do is take the list of parts to a local computer store (not a box store like bestbuy), and they should be able to put it togeather for you for under $3000. It may be a bit more expensive than doing it yourself, but it'll blow anything alienware has out of the water.

just get yourself a customized m17x laptop from alienware. upgrade it a bit and you'll hit your 3000 dollar price range easily without too much hassle. get a friend who knows a little about computers to help you out. honestly though, if you're gonna be a gamer and want a 3000 dollar computer for gaming, you should learn much more about computers so you could build one yourself without help, because otherwise you won't use it correctly. I mean I have a souped up dell inspiron that i use for all my games and it's better than most of the desktops at my work because i know how to optimize it for what i need. only cost me 600 bucks and it's running starcraft 2 on high quality without any lag. good luck, and try to learn a little more before blowing a huge amount of money (unless it's not yours and in that case, pay me and i'll build a crazy good one for you, haha)
