What does this Native American story teach us about customs, culture, values, etc. of its people?

http://americanfolklore.net/folklore/2010/07/the_b...

Is this not a good story to compare their customs to our current day customs? If so do you know if their is a better one?

Update:

what might the fact that the warrior coudlnt grasp the knife mean?

or what does the knife represent?

This is not really a good story for what you're looking for. All we know, really, is that knives are their weapons. They talk about tearing the clothes but do not describe the clothing--what it looks like, what it's made of.

It tells you none of their culture and values; it's about two people fighting.
