So I'm a 17 year old girl. I'm an honors student, athlete, i've held the same job for almost a year now and blahblahblah. So pretty much at this point in my life all I want to do is just let loose and have some actual fun! But my parents are extremely strict. Examples would be 1) i'm "too old" for sleepovers 2) i can't date 3) i can't stay out past 11, even on weekends. I know this probably isn't even that bad but the fact is that I've always been extremely independent, and at this point in my life I guess you could say that I'm ready to "rebel". So many of my friends have all this freedom and I envy them for it!

My question is pretty much if I started "rebelling" now and doing what I want to do (like if they ground me, still go out), even if that means losing their trust, would this just be bad? Honestly, I am so bored with life right now and I am willing to handle the consequences... Idk haha sorry this makes no sense.

So I just turned 17 and he's about to turn 18. We've been talking for a little over 2 months now & last friday we hung out at his house. I'm pretty sure he's not the relationship type and I'm not either but needless to say we did almost everything but sex that night even though it was really the first time we've ever hung out alone. We used to text every day and he would usually text me first but this week we've both been sick and i've texted him on two different occasions but it hasn't been like it normally is. The last time he texted me was wednesday but then he never replied after I texted him twice.. Do you think he's done w/ me now or should I just text him first? As far as developing an actual relationship, I'm not looking to force anything so I'm just going with the flow. Hahah alright well thanks ahead (:

So i got them on 13 months ago. Originally they told me i'd have them for 2-3 years, but for the past year they've been saying how i'm just moving right along and what not. But right now my teeth are perfectly straight, and for the past 2/3 months my ortho has been continually saying that i'll be getting them off early. I had rubber bands on for 6 weeks and a power chain on my top & bottom. He took off the top power chain and i dont have to wear the rubber bands off. And i'm getting them refixed or what in 2 weeks because he said that'll help me finish up quickly..

Hahah so any idea how long i might have to keep them on? Thanks

My mom & I got in a fight and so I left and slept at my friends house. Now she's trying to take my phone, car, and social life away. I have too many responsibilities & I don't have time for her to be annoying and limit me. So basically how do I tell her that I don't accept her grounding without getting into another fight? She wants to ground me for months btw. I'm captain of my dance team, soccer team & I have a job, plus I babysit a lot. All these things require communication which is why I need my phone. Anyways any advice would be nice. I'm only 17 if that changes anything...

So I'm 16 and I've had my period for three years. It has regulated and usually lasts about 5 or 6 days, but the first 4 days are always complete hell. I get the worst cramps, extremely heavy flow, and nausea. So I've been thinking about talking to my mom about going to the doctor and asking if I can get on the pill (i read something about the combination pill). I'm trying to do some research but I don't know where to start. I'm not having sex, or planning on having sex, but I want to the pill because I want to lighten, get rid of, of reduce the amount of times I'm on my period. So any information on what types of the pill there are, prices, riks, benefits, how to tell my mom, etc. would be extremely appreciated!

The wedding I am going is in july. The ceremony is outdoors, and the reception indoors so it'll be warm I guess? Haha well the actualy wedding theme is 1920s so I need to find the perfect shoes to go with the dress I just bought!

So I met this guy who is going to be a freshmen at bandcamp. On our last night there i told one of my guy friends to sneak into my room and bring a friend or two and he brought the freshman guy. He plays trumpet and I'm on the dance team (we dance with the band) called the arcettes.
