Braxton Hicks, 4 to 5 minutes apart. Is it labour ?

I haven't been able to sleep, I am getting pains very regularly but not really painful enough to be labour. I am only 37 weeks. I am booked in for a c-section on 24th september as I have had 2 previous sections my doctor does not want me to labour. I have been having braxton hicks for months, and these are not really any more painful than normal, just a lot more regular. How long should i leave it before i ring delivery, has been happening every few minutes for more than an hour.

Walk around the house for a half hour or so - this will either increase them, make them stop altogether or make no change

If no change or you see an increase ring your Midwife and ask her what to do

A change in pace- walking around for a while should slow the contractions if it is `false labour`. If that makes them closer together get yourself to the hospital.

Drink lots of water and lay down on your left side to see if they let up some. If they keep on or get stronger call your doctor just to be safe. I, personally, would rather be safe than sorry.
