Need help with my xbox 360 ?

Hi, I bought a xbox 360 recently and fixed it up to my led lcd monitor, but the xbox menu and gameplay looks to be in low quality, why is this.. any recommendations ?

    Use a HDMI cable and go to Settings> Display Settings> HDMI settings and set it to optimal resolution.

    using an hdmi cable? if not there cheap ones on amazon
