Why Did The US Government Sanction The Blowing Up of the World Trade Centre?

It's widely known that the WTC fell due to a failure in the flame retardant coating on the steel structure. The heat from the fires softened the steel to a point where they could no longer hold up that mass. The structure that wasn't burnt collapsed, due to the fact that they were not designed to hold up the energy involved in a collapse, but they were supposed to be designed to survive an impact of an aeroplane. Age was the culprit.

You might be able to hold up a brick in your hand, but you will break your hand if you drop that brick on it.

The so-called explosions, are just shock waves, as the structure buckles under the stresses.

Technically, you don't know. There is a chance (though I believe the odds are against it) that the US Government had a hand in the events of 9/11. They are obviously covering something up. The question is what? It would appear you believe they are covering up complicity in the events of 9/11. I don't personally think so; I believe they are covering up incompetence in dealing with the events of 9/11. I don't think they had a hand in either the planning or the execution of the attack. I could see the Bush Administration letting it go down; not participating in the planning or execution of the plan but not stepping in the way when they could have. But even that is a farfetched jump based on evidence. Its possible, but it isn't like there is conclusive proof that it happened this way. What I suspect happened is that the Bush Administration did not know about it, though they could have and should have put it together from the warnings coming in in the days before 9/11. But I don't think they did, and so they weren't ready for it. They still did a pretty good job of handling things afterwards. But I believe all the covering up is more to hide that they didn't put it together even when they had the warnings, they just needed to put the info together. Incompetence, but not complicity.

I don't believe for a second the government was involved. I will admit however that I am looking into the possibility of a controlled demolition. This is what I was thinking about yesterday:

OK, so the pillars holding the towers up may have been equally as strong all the way from the bottom to the top. The pillars at the bottom held the entire weight of the building above them. Lets go up say 80 floors. The pillars up there were as strong at that level as they were at the bottom. In other words, the pillars 80 floors up could have held the buildings' entire weight and yet didn't have to. They only had to hold the weight of the floors above. That would mean that it would take a lot more than just a few collapsing floors above to buckle them.

Another problem I have with the official account is the speed at which the buildings fell. How is it that these massively strong pillars caved in so easily? They offered little or no resistance as the buildings fell. In order for them to have caved in so easily they must have disintegrated.

I don't believe our government "sanctioned" blowing up the WTC, but there are some things, like the APPEARANCE of controlled demolitions that make me pause. I also saw the yard of the Pentagon in front of the hole where the plane hit and unless it was Photoshopped, it did not look disturbed at all, even though it was supposed to have skidded on the lawn. I haven't seen anything against the possible Photoshopping topic although it looks suspicious.

As for the claim that one poster here stated about the PA plane being shot down, in all that I have read and seen about 9/11, I've heard not a word about this. I'm not saying it did not happen; I'm only saying I haven't seen or heard a word of it. All in all, while there are questions in my mind about certain things regarding 9/11, I do think that in 9 years, we would have found out the truth by now if there was anything left to find out. People aren't able by nature to keep a secret or their mouths shut for years and eventually somebody would have said something by now.

So who knows? But after all these years, I'm a little burned out on hearing about it. The "Ground Zero" spot has been left untouched and full of rubble and body parts under it still after 9 years, and now we argue about a Muslim Cultural Center? We haven't really cared about the spot for years and now we are calling it a "sacred place"? Oh, give me a break. Even many family members of those who died are not against the Cultural Centeral and I applaud them. We must keep in mind that those that attacked on 9/11 were a very small handful of radical, extremist, Muslim ARABS from Saudi Arabia. I knew that from the very beginning by listening carefully to the news, all the while Bush and Cheney were saying Iraq was behind it because Bush was wanting a war and looking for a reason for it. This was already said by several people who overheard or talked to Bush prior to Bush getting the presidency by throwing himself in front of the Florida Supreme Court.

Now we have over 4,500 of our own military dead and 32,000 wounded and/or mutilated. This is far more than the 3,700 killed on 9/11. This should never have happened, never. I won't ever believe our voting to go to war was the right thing to do. The Democrats are often blamed for voting for war too, but we must keep in mind that they were being told the same lies that we were all being told. Bush and cabinet had been told by our own experts and the U.N. that there were NO WMDs, that the Iraqis would not dance or called us Liberators (I nearly choked when I heard this because I knew, I KNEW because it was so far from the truth) and kneel at our feet for "freeing them". I forgot to mention in the statistics I gave above that those numbers do not included the over 200,000 innocent Iraqis killed in a war of our choice, a war that Bush wanted but that we didn't NEED. He apparently, even at his age, doesn't know the different between WANT and NEED. That's something even 4-year olds know at that age.

Anyway, those are my personal feelings and I do not wish to argue with anyone. If a poster is offended by my views, I apologize because I certainly meant no offense. I am only expressing my personal feelings and you are free to believe what you want. As a veteran, I am for your rights and mine.

That is the most daft thing I have heard ever are you Jim Coor, You know what your saying ie the US government took four planes to some secret place somehow, that no one would notice them. got radar signature of four planes to be on radars, two flying into Manhattan and one into Pentagon a fourth that went down in the countryside. We will never know what happened in full truth. The low budget witnesses are dead, the big budget perpetrators are not talking. Out here in Western Pa. we know for a fact that jet was shot down.
