    A Clockwork Orange

A stunning masterpiece, a shocking portrait of a society controlled by violent teens, a world where rape is glorified....it's just such a shocking and brilliant film. The cinematography is gorgeous, the dierction is great, the acting is amazing (obviously McDowell's iconic performance) The music is twisted and compelling, the use of Singin' In The Rain and Beethhoven is so mind-blowingly disturbing in this film. I've never seen anything like it. It's an underrated classic, that should be on more Top 10 lists...it's truly a masterpiece.

well my lord, i gave you a star for interesting but for me, it would be impossible to name just one.

as someone who read the godfather in hard copy and waited and waited for the movie...i just could not believe the casting. no one heard of jimmy caan or al pacino even robert duval and it was like the characters in the book just jumped alive onto the screen.

especially james caan, in the book puzo described him right down to his childlike smile and cupid lips with a temper that could explode at any second. so when i first saw sonny Corleone on screen

    it was beyond amazing.

i could not see marlon brando as the godfather, but again that was another pleasant surprise.

of course there was a lot missing from the book, or you would of had a 6 hour movie. what bothered me most i think was i went with a few people and i was the only one who had read the book.

so in the beginning they kept driving me nuts asking "who that" etc.

other favorites was "the lion in winter" hepburn and o'toole...wonderful script and acting..

the man who would be king, a kipling book came alive with sean connery and Michael caine.

and that's the tip of the ice berg.
