AMC - How stupid are they to let Vincent Irrizary get away?

David Hayward was one of the most despicable characters out there, but he was fun to watch. So who's left as the great villain? JR? Please! Every soap needs a good villain, and AMC just let their best get away.

He is a wonderful actor. I watched him on The Guiding Light many years ago and then on The Young and The Restless.

I just found an update which is dated yesterday - looks like he is in negotiations.

Is David really dead? Is Vincent staying with the show? It seems to be up in the air, as this was posted on the actor's official Facebook page:

"Hello everyone -- We can now confirm and tell you that Vincent is still in negotiations, as the end of his contract is up shortly. The show has added this plot twist, but as I expressed below, please continue to tune in and make your thoughts, wishes, and voices known. Like many of you, I feel there is much more of David's story that needs to unfold and we would love to continue watching Vincent's amazing portrayal of the most complex character on the daytime canvas!

Vincent passed on at how touched he has been by the overwhelming support and outpouring of messages that he has received over the past few days from all of you. Vincent writes, "I can't say enough how appreciative I am of all the comments on websites and message boards that have been written in support of my work and my character. There would be no doubt to me whatsoever, if I do return to AMC, it will be in greater part because of this wonderful outpouring from all of you who love the show and David as much as I do. I am forever grateful to all of you..."

Why do I get the feeling his death won't really happen? I really hope AMC isn't stupid enough to lose such a great actor. He's a dispicable character but the fans LOVE him! Maybe he'll come up with some miracle serum or something so that his so called death isn't really for keeps.

I really don't believe that David is dead. We knew he had to be plotting something and what better than to frame Ryan and/or Greenlee for his "death"? TPTB would be very stupid to let Vincent get away. He is a great actor and provides the only excitement that AMC has these days. I hope it's true that he is in negotiations and that they give him whatever he wants to hold on to him. AMC barely holds my interest anymore and with both Zach and David gone I might just stop watching.

Vincent is the best actor on daytime Tv. Glad he's still in negotiations. Money talks so maybe they'll pay to keep him. He could work a deal like Erica did. I think he'll fake his own death. JR can't hold a candle to David.

I like David also, but they said David is leaving because he doesn't like going between New york and LA all the time. Yes, there will never be another like David.

It relies upon on what sort of hair you have and what you attempt to do with it.. while you're completely black and function thick hair while it dries it you get an Afro, in an attempt to brush your hair after it dries merely places rigidity on your hair. in the journey that your blended with something or caucasian and you have stringy hair that gets tangled plenty then you definately are no longer being effective with the aid of fact it is going to tangle in case you self dry. yet once you have effective hair or hair that has a loose knap(curl) then you definately are effective with what you're doing.
