Is it to late to plant turnup greens?
I live in west tennessee. I would also like to know other veges that could be planted and harvested before winter.

I believe August is when you start planting turnip greens here, so you are fine. Great time for any fast growing crops like lettuce. Of course you can extend the season of most crops by covering them if there is an early frost. Here is a great link to a publication from UT on fall garden crops:
