Why do you monotheists?

Always rip on the polytheists as though they're completely insane.

Their religions were around before any western monotheisms, just because one of yours wiped all of their followers out at some point doesn't make them any more (or less) crazy.

Most of the monotheistic religions are based upon the idea that there is only one God and since the majority of monotheistic religions are based upon the Old Testament, the first of the commandments in the ten commandments should give you a clue as to the behavior.

That said, Judaism has its roots in a patriarchal order which goes back as far as any religious order, the polytheistic religions included. And it is an "Eastern" monotheistic system, not Western.

I never "ripped' on a polytheist. The polytheist I know seem to be unable to explain their beliefs. Which does not mean anything since I know just as many monotheist with the same problem.

I would actually be interested in learning more but don't know where to look.

Monotheism originated in the East and not West. Jewish, Christian and Islamic monotheism originated in the East! Get your history correct.

West have polluted the eastern monotheism with the introduction of polytheism!

"Gods /n/ Numerous, argumentative, demanding, interventionist and irritating. Sit around on Mount Olympus causing trouble, and treat mortals as playthings. Hardly surprising they lost out to monotheism a few centuries later."

  • Well the three Abrahamic faiths believe in this, if that's what u mean. Meaning Islam, Christianity, and Judiasm. That's it. Personally i think they are just being narrow-minded, but their argument is that you don't have 1 god at all, you have like thousands of gods (for example hindus).

I've been seeing a lot of new way of thinking from hinduism like all the gods are actually "personalities" of the same one god. Idk..It's all just opinion, what can you do about it?

We just want all of you to have a better life knowing God/Jesus. If I did not love you all so much I would not be here. You tell us we are all kinds of bad things, but here we are in love. So do evil to us, but we love you and want the best for you anyway.

    bless you.
