True Blood HBO vampires kill humans??

They are allowed to do it within the Vampire community but Bill doesn't drink human blood so as her maker he doesn't want Jessica drinking it either so she knows she screwed up by drinking it

It's not a black & white issue.

On the show, the vampires want to "come out of the coffin" and fit in with human society. So they pretend that they only drink the artificial "True Blood" and that they no longer kill people.

Some, like Bill, do just that. Others drink blood from humans who allow it. But it appears that killing people is still a fairly widespread practice among vampires, they just keep it a secret. For instance, the 'Magister', who is supposed to represent vampire law, orders Bill to kill (and later revive, as a vampire) a human - namely Jessica.

Vampires in True Blood are not allowed to kill humans. The can drink blood if it is consensual, but I think that if they kill a human it would be the same as if a human killed another human. The vampires in True Blood are trying to become main stream and push an equal vampire rights amendment. If they openly allowed killing humans it would go against what they are pushing for.

Definately illegal to kill humans!

First of all, real vampires (not Twilight-land) are PREDATORS. They hunt prey so they don't CARE if its wrong and illegal. They are hunger driven killers who will take whatever they want.

i thought it could of been bill because when he showed up to sookie's house he said he just fed. but not completely sure. lafayette is not in the books, so it's not like we can find out that way. it could also have been that politician guy or someone related to him, but i guess we just have to wait til next season!
