My turtle isn't eating!?
I have a sick red eared slider. He has a respiratory infection according to the vet I saw. He's been on daily baytril injections for a week. I know baytril causes decreased appetite, but I'm worried because my turtle doesn't eat at all. I offer him food every day and he ignores it. I've tried a variety of food (turtle sticks, small fish, spinach, etc). It's been over a week since he's eaten anything. The vet told me it's ok for a turtle to go a while without food and that once he does start eating i'll know he's doing better. I feel like it's been too long though. Help! What should I do?

Don't worry. Turtles can go a very long time without eating...many weeks or even months! He'll begin eating when his infection is gone and you are done with the Baytril. Just make sure your setup is healthy...proper basking temps, UVB bulb, water heated to right temp, etc.
