Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay and Back - Tours?
I am looking for tour operator details who does Fairbanks to Prudhoe bay and back. Both ways in bus. Had any one done it this way? All I see is one way bus and otherway by Air, a little expensive.

Try the web site of the Fairbanks Convention and Visitor's Bureau. They might know.
I've seen various tour buses and vans on that road. I think they do the fly/bus tours because most people don't have the time to drive both ways. It's a long long drive on a gravel road. When you look at the miles covered, it's quite a ride. If you want a fun and scenic bus ride and need to save some money, go to Denali National Park and take the park bus to Wonder Lake. It's an all day trip, but you bring your own food and drink, so the price is low. You see lots of scenery, have a tour guide bus driver, and see lots of animals. If the weather is clear, you get some nice views of Mt. McKinley. The bus needs to be reserved, so go online and check out the details before planning your trip. You can also rent a car and drive around in the Fairbanks area, or drive down to the Kenai Peninsula from Anchorage, or to Valdez or do a circle tour from Fairbanks to Valdez to Palmer to Anchorage to Homer and Seward and back through Anchorage to Fairbanks. Great scenery on the coast and the drives. You can also take the train from Fairbanks to Anchorage, if you'd rather not drive.
Have a wonderful trip and bring your camera!
