Odear another brawl evoking question fuelled by the infallible word written in a book (may I add created by man and thus open to corruption!). cookies and cream is the exact reason why. This is the product of generations of such teaching breeding unquestioned faith and resulting in the mogadon of the masses. In MY opinion the only thing that can get good people to do bad things. Remember evolution knocks out the ‘creator’ and replaces it with a time line projection not sudden dark into light and creation in 6 days.
To save an argument I will say this is my point of view and you are well entitled to yours.

because they have a conflict in information and one thing must be false. They choose to decide which is false, they choose in the direction that makes their life more easily lived.
If one has a world view that holds strongly toward a certain view of reality, it is very difficult to abandon that reality. The early scientists had a big problem with this; they were raised with one world view but the evidence, the reality, kept getting in the way. Required some seriously deep soul searching for a lot of them to abandon what they were raised on.
So, those that find the evidence too difficult to accept spend a lot of effort explaining it away. The human mind is a very odd thing.

Because of God. I'm a Catholic and I LOVE God, my Father. He's amazing. Christians are very sensitive about evolution because first, it contradicts our HOLY Book and we say that our Bible is totally free of error in its information. So basically, I think it's about religion and because of my faith, I choose to believe in the origin of Adam and Eve. If it's not about religion then I guess it's a matter of opinion or something else.

because they're scared sh..less - because if they accept evolution that means the earth's been here longer than any religion therefore it'd put a question mark on God....but hey, you're right! facts are facts! good question.
