Flash-cookies (Local Shared Objects = LSO's) are pieces of information placed on your computer by a Flash plug-in. Those Super-Cookies are placed in central system folders and so protected from deletion. They are frequently used like standard browser cookies, but their threat potential is much higher than conventional cookies.
More frequent utilization and deployment is being noted, and these "Flash-cookies" reside in special folders where they never get deleted!
(This is one current example of the fluid nature of the Net, and the need for constant 'Threat Landscape awareness').
Control these monsters with "Better Privacy" for Firefox.

Deletes LSO's upon exit from FF, or can be deleted manually:
Tools> Better Privacy> (lower right corner) tick "Remove All (or specific) LSO"
