Trying to secure good quality education is a very expensive business.
Despite the high costs of education demand for places in good colleges remains high
Are we drifting into a situation, which will, in time, make good education mostly the prerogative of wealthy people?

The author is saying that while a college education is too costly these days, it is still worthwhile in the job market. She thinks those who protest that many businessmen don't have degrees probably prefer college graduates in their workforce. hope this helps!

Instead of wasting the time to post this on Yahoo! Answers, waiting for people to read it and summarize it, what can't you do this yourself? Yahoo! Answers is not here to do your homework for you, and you won't learn anything by having people do it. Homework "Help" is not doing it for you, but telling you how to do it. Teachers assign homework for a reason, sweetheart.
God bless,
