Mosque near ground zero (Whats the big deal?)?

Seriously what is the big deal? If someone wants to build a mosque near ground zero then so be it. Its a free freaking country!

Update:

Some people are getting a little confused. I'm not Muslim. So if someone wants to burn a quran I have no problem with that.

it is supposedly disrespectful to those who died in 9/11.

however, most people dont seem to realize that a number of muslims (BESIDES the terrorists) died that day as well.

it all boils down to there being a lot of ignorant people on this planet. there are crazies in every religion.

i assume you're able to think of it could have been ok for the eastern to construct a Shinto shrine next to the sunken Arizona in Pearl Harbor in 1950. Why do you think of the Muslims elect to construct there? if that they had an oz. of sensitivity they could build someplace else. they only elect to thumb their noses at us. Why is political correctness and sensitivity no longer sturdy for something of the worldwide too? they ought to think of we are the stupidest people interior the worldwide to additionally be having this argument. How approximately in the event that they permit a cathedral to be outfitted interior the midsection of Mecca? That ain't gonna take place.
