What was the main purpose, historically speaking, of the Declaration of Independence?

To make sure that tyranny is prevented and has no possibility of existing.

So what are the social/political philosophies behind those lines?

Well, they're not necessarily based on any social/political philosophies, they're more of a rebellion against social/political philosophies. Specifically, the philosophies of imperialism, monarchy, autocracy, etc.

there is an obvious conflict of hobbies between the fetus' precise to existence and the mum's precise to liberty/pursuit of happiness. The questions, then, are: Is the fetus a individual with the staggering to existence? if so, does that precise trump the mum's precise to do what she needs along with her physique? individually, i think of the reply to the two questions is confident different than many times times (rape, mom's wellbeing), yet to declare that folk who're professional-selection do no longer care on the subject of the statement of Independence is a gross oversimplification of the situation. it is coming from somebody who's ordinarily distinctly liberal, by ways. no longer all liberals accept as true with each and every liberal place.
