Will John Boehner Hand Out Lobbyist Checks To Fellow Republicans On House Floor Again If He is Speaker?

"...business as usual for Mr. Boehner, the House minority leader and would-be speaker if Republicans win the House in November. He maintains especially tight ties with a circle of lobbyists and former aides representing some of the nation’s biggest businesses, including Goldman Sachs, Google, Citigroup, R. J. Reynolds, MillerCoors and UPS.

They have contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to his campaigns over the years, provided him rides on their corporate jets, socialized with him at luxury golf resorts and waterfront bashes and are now leading fund-raising efforts for his Boehner for Speaker campaign, which is soliciting checks of up to $37,800 each, the maximum allowed....

...Mr. Boehner won some of his first national headlines back in 1996 after he was caught handing out checks from tobacco lobbyists to fellow Republicans on the House floor. Then the fourth-ranking House Republican, Mr. Boehner said he had broken no rules and was simply assisting his lobbyist friends, who were contributing to other Republicans’ campaigns.."

So...he will be looking out for all Americans if he is elected Speaker....right? :)

Update:

No surprise that so many can't handle the truth eh? :)

Probably not. That sort of thing tends to upset people, and Boehner understands - it's probably the one thing he really does understand - the importance of appearances. If Boehner becomes Speaker, you can expect an appearance of honesty. Lobbyists will write the bills, and Congressmen will pocket cash and favors for doing their bidding, but the appearance of public integrity will be carefully maintained.

What is more disturbing is his accepting money from contributors with ties to al quaeda and the Mexican drug cartels. Tie that to his blocking passage of supplemental funding for purchase of added IED electronic countermeasures and we have a compete picture of another Benedict Arnold

Seriously, what makes you think dems are any better with lobbyists? Can you say hundreds of billions of US taxpayer money to repay the union lobby for their 2006 and 2008 votes? No you probably can't. That would require a bit of intellectual honesty on your part.
