Survey: What is it about immortality that makes it so attractive?

people enjoy living.

i wouldn't enjoy being immortal as a human. in 3 billion years the leading species on the planet can be completely different. or worse, humans could evolve into more intelligent beings, making me look like a proto-caveman.

it would be cool to be immortal if you could roam space freely. but forever is a damn long time.

Maybe the part about your body rotting in the ground....or on somebodies fireplace. Not so much i want to live forever, but i definitely don't want to die young. But immortal, no....everythings got to end sometimes, we just have a hard time comprehending just being dead, but ill be glad to be dead once my life is about 20 prescriptions a day, and have a pacemaker and diabetes, oxygen tank, and a caregiver to wipe my butt....if i even live till then...and im not disrespecting old people whos lives are like that, but in my job, i see alot of them, and they surely arent very happy.

It depends on what kind of immortal life you would have. An immortal life of suffering I don't think anyone would want. If it was an immortal life of continued growth,discovery, happiness etc. then maybe (and if all your loved ones were immortal too).

Death is the great adventure is it not. We all die and my age is only 2 1/2 years old. Immortality in the next life is great to me. I'm already bless in this life, but I do have to scream SHENANIGANS at a system that...

All of the immoral things feel good. I don't want to live forever.

Well, for one, you live forever.

what would be the attraction in watching your loved ones die as you live forever.

Sounds like hell.

It's in our biology and psychology to survive. Not to mention that fact that no one can have it makes it more alluring (in general).
