38 weeks, will it never end?

I shouldn't whinge, I have had a relatively trouble free pregnancy. I am just so tired. This is my second week off work and i am beginning to get bored, everything aches, movement is difficult and slow and i really want to go into labour. I am having a c-section on 24th, as I have had 2 previous and my doctor will not allow me to try naturally. I keep thinking though, that if I go into labour now, and it seems quick and simple that they may let me continue. This will be my last child and I would love to experience natural birth. I know that it's not terribly realistic but when i put it to my doctor, he said maybe, that labour would have to be going well for him to allow it. I just want this child here, lol. I have been walking heaps but can't eat curry because of heartburn, any other ideas to naturally bring labour on ?

Update:

I did go into labour the first time, for ten painful hours. my problem is my pelvis does not open, baby got stuck. With my second i had measures and tests at 38 weeks, my babies don't drop because my pelvis doesn't open. This time, it look like it has! And now, they won't let me try because of 2 previous sections, lol, bad luck.

Update 2:

Great, I am in Australia too, and while they were keen for my last one to go VBAC, until my pelvis was measured close to due date, they have vetoed trying to go natural with this one. My sons are 17 and 8 by the way which is why I am not scared of uterine rupture. I have healed well and it's been a long time.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do. Despite the amount of people that swear by this, swear by that etc, there is absolutely nothing you can do to start up labour from nowhere. Could you imagine if there was? I don't think there'd be a baby born on this planet even close to it's due date.

Walking won't do much other than gravity may aiding the baby in engaging better, but if bubs is already engaged the only positive affect walking is having is aiding in a well-shaped posterior, well that and it's keep you fit and busy. Other than that, excessive walking is only going to drain you.

My advice to you is just rest. I know it's cliche, and irritating, but it's true. My first was a c-section (unplanned) and it was horrid, I spent my last 2 weeks walking up a storm, keeping busy, I enevtually went into labour, and after 17 hours of labour (whilst already having NO energy!) I ended up with a c-section, as the pitocin I was given sent my little guy into distress. I wish I would have just rested like everyone told me, because I was absolutely wiped.

Just rest, or go pamper yourself.

It's such a shame no doctors around you will allow you to VBAC, that's insane! I hate to say it, but I think your doctors "maybe" is actually "if I say maybe now, it will keep her thinking positive, but realistically I'm going to end up doing a c-section"

I live in AUS, and while my doctor is fully aware I have had a previous c-section, c-sections are not even mentioned at appointments. Here, it is VBAC, without option until a serious complication arises (Or the same complication is prevalent as prior pregnancies i.e narrow pelvis, etc)

Things like walking and sex only help if you are already in the labor process. Did you ever go into labor with your other two pregnancies? If not, then this might as well be your first for your body. The muscles dont "know" what they are supposed to do to labor and deliver vaginally so you might end up going over your due date.

Good news is that it will end. It will only go as long as the 24th. 12 more days sister!! You can do it :)

    Good luck!
