Help working out design?

I have a small Celtic dragon (design from ancient jewelry piece) - it is rather simple, kind of looks like seahorse head with the body kinda snake like that just curls around to make a circle about the size of a 50 cent piece. It was my 1st tattoo (at 50), and symbolizes my son, who's name is Celtic.

My question is: I want to put a flower with it, to make it look like the dragon is resting in the center of it. I am having a hard time coming up with the right flower, and how to do put it together, so that it will look soft, (the flower would represent me), and not have too much detail to distract from the dragon, and I want it to be very beautiful in design.

This is over my heart.

Can you help me with suggestions on how to design this? What kind of flower? I have asked this before, and I have done searches etc., but I seem better able at helping others than me on this one!

Any thoughts ideas or links would be greatly appreciated.

If you are more concerned with the design of the flower rather than the meaning of the flower, then my suggestion would be the Magnolia Flower. Normally, these flowers are extremely white. However, the petals of this flower open up nicely in all directions and curl upwards instead of down. It could make it seem as if the petals are swaddling the dragon. If you are concerned with the meaning of the flower, then Magnolias represent dignity, love of nature and nobility.

This is what tattoo artists are for and they will do the design for free.
