I watch Divorce Court and I notice a lot of women ALWAYS say that their High Maintenance but?

Don't blame just the women. When the men got involved with these women, it was probably because they thought the women were "hot." The guys may have married for sex and to have a trophy on their arms, and for a while they had no problems with spending the thousands of dollars a year is costs to keep a "hot" wife.

The guys probably even liked keeping a "hot" wife for a while... if they didn't like it, they would have married someone with an MBA who worked at a Fortune 500 company instead, doncha think? If you don't want to lose your shirt (and pants, and boxers) in a divorce, then be SMART when you choose a wife. Don't go for the "hot" women. Go for a woman who has some natural beauty, but more importantly is smart, educated, has a good career going, and has no interest in being a stay-at-home mom for more than the necessary amount of time. If a woman provides for herself and for the family, she'll take far less in the divorce... and you'll also be far, FAR less likely to divorce her in the first place, because you would have married someone who is your equal, not someone disposable.

These women were high maintenance BEFORE they married ...so I could say, why are these men so stupid to think that will change once married or when they divorce.

Persoanlly I agree with you, and think that both sexes should be responsible to provide for their life styles

Some people prefer material things over love. Its a matter of social status and keeping up appearances.

Not all of us are the same. My husband is the one who filed divorce, made $80k more than me, used my insurance and won our house in the divorce and immigration papers that I signed for, in addition to being able to keep everything we acquired when married. I worked full-time the whole marriage and paid for of our insurance.

There are women who would rather live a parasitic lifestyle than get off of their lazy butts. I have to add there are men who are like that too. I believe if a person is physically capable of taking care of him/herself, then that's what should be done. I'm so sick of takers...

High maintenance means never satisfied. Personally I prefer pleasant and obedient.

That's the problem in America. All they have to do is get pregnant/get married. You'd think their child and being married is an investment.

They are selfish. But there are a LOT OF MEN OUT THERE who are LIVING OFF WORKING WOMEN, too.
