Phone local Shipping companies for quotes on the price inclusive of road haulage, shipping, insurance and time it will take to ship from KL to Sydney. Double check insurance cover is from "door to door", insurance cover goes into very "gray areas" when you are transporting by road-sea-road, so ensure you are covered every step of the way.
Get your family in Sydney to do the same except it will be a collection with the same requirements above. Once you have quotes from both countries you can assess which currency would possibly save you in the rate of exchange.
Most shipping is quoted in USA $ (USD). Compare the rates prices against rate of exchange.Obtain quotes from at least three shipping companies in both countries. Ask for references or recommendations locally.
