Did the mighty cat empire collapse in frustration?
Normally the cats find a way to get themselves back into a game. However last night they clearly failed to do this in what was one of the more complete magpie performance, or anyperformance I have seen for a long time. Did the cats get frustrated with Collingwoods pressure? I think they did.

You're right, normally they find a way to get back into the game, but Collingwood were just far too good last night, they were relentless in their attack on the ball, the possession count was basically pretty even, but one thing we've overlooked is how well they used the ball, that was the main difference in the game.

Yep, they were pressured into submission.
Cats like to move the ball cleanly and quickly through the corridor, but with Collingwood's defensive zone box setup that protects the corridor this is a VERY difficult task even with Geelong's level of skill.
Hard to alter your style of play given they've had so much success with it for the past 3-4 years.
Incredible level of defensive pressure Collingwood applied.

Over the break, all the teams are going to have to look at how they can combat Collingwood's Defensive pressure, If they don't. They'll experience what the Cats faced last night (Complete frustration!)

It was reminiscent of a Coll v Gee game a couple of years ago when Coll tackled Gee into making mistakes, and thumped them by 80 odd points. The tackling pressure of Collingwood last night would have destroyed any team.

not just last night with the pressure but every time i have watched geelong lose a game. when geelong are down in a game they dont like it, they start to fight amongst each other and their team breaks down even more.
