A plane drops a bomb. The plane fly off at 40 m/s at a height of 100 mts. Determine :
a) Where the bomb impacts the ground (horizontal distance ) relative to the initial drop.
b)The angle of depresion with the line of sight.
c) The magnitud of velocity of the bomb just before the impact.
d) The angle the bomb impact the ground.

Presumably you neglect air resistance.
1) The horizontal distance travelled at time t s is 40t, at a constant 40 m/s
2) The vertical distance travelled is - 1/2 g t^2 m, and the vertical component of velocity is -gt m/s
3) When the plane hits the ground, - 1/2 g t^2 = - 100 m
BEFORE GOING ANY FURTHER, make sure you understand why all these statements are true.
You can now use (3) to find t at impact, and use (1) and that particular value of t to find horizontal distance travelled before impact
You can use (2), second part, to find vertical component of velocity. Horizontal component of velocity is, as always, 40 m/s. Show these on a diagram and you can finish the problem. (Hint: you can use Pythagoras for (c) )

a...where's the initial drop .....don't understand b......c... i believe from a certain height all things reach terminal velocity without some sort of thrust...d would that not depend on the weight factor of the front and back of the device
