I have a jeep grand cherokee and it won't stay running?
It's a 98 and earlier today I changed fuel filter and fuel pump. But now it won't stay running longer than 2 mins before it dies. And after that it won't run it just keeps dying. But what puzzles me is if you turn off the engine for a few mins it runs perfect for about a mile or so but then goes back to what it was doing before. Another thing. I rinsed my engine off with a pressure washer but I stayed away from the distributor wires and filters could that be the problem. Pls help I am out of town and need to get home asap thanks

check the filter & pump lines be sure you haven't got the lines reversed somewhere. There should be an arrow on the inlet/outlet.

Did you install the fuel filter so that the gasoline will flow in the right direction?
