The US governments official reason is because of the threat of Iran!! Haha. The US government doesn't bother creating believable lies anymore because the people don't care. Afghanistan was "evil" because they had an Authoritarian government that used Sharia law and was involved in 9/11. Saudi Arabia is a great ally because it is none of those things (sarcasm).

I suspect the reason they did it is because the US and Saudi have had a long relationship and Saudi needs the US to maintain it's economy and vice versa. The Saudi / US relationship is more important than the US / Israeli relationship. That is why the US media continually ignores that almost all the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi, the money came from Saudi, their leader is Saudi royalty, etc...

i imagine the united kingdom, France, Russia and China itself would have something to assert about Japan having the 2d maximum useful military. edit: Japan isn't the technologically maximum progressed united states of america interior the international, you've been gazing to a lot gundam. It definately does no longer have the most progressed military, definately in evaluation to the u . s . which has guns and gizmos now that different international locations probably wont have for atleast 10 years. the jap army is not any 15 to 20 circumstances the size of the Indian army. Do you in simple terms make issues up? Japanes army- a million Helicopter provider, 11 Destroyers, 36 Frigates, 16 submarines, 6 Patrol Boats, 29 minesweepers, Indian army- a million plane provider, a million attack deliver, 8 Destroyers, 13 Frigates, 15 Submarines, 24 corvettes, 28 patrol boats, 8 minesweepers. The tonnage is probably about 40% more advantageous yet it truly is infrequently 1500% to 2000% as you propose. also Russia, the united kingdom and France all have more advantageous navies than Japan.

... It means U.S. arms manufacturers (about the only industry we have left) are capitalizing on fears of war with Iran to sell more weapons to Saudi Arabia and other nervous Gulf Arab neighbors of the Islamic republic.

If history repeats itself, it means we will be at war with Saudi Arabia in 10 years.
