God is invisible, He is eternal, He is infinite, and He has neither shape nor form.

When you paint an image that you think is what God look like, you are diminishing God to the level of your own imagination. That's why He said not to make any graven images nor worship idols, because - well - if a little child, just barely learning how to add and subtract, were to tell a physicist that he, the physicist, didn't know arithmetic, it's insulting and demeaning, when it's the little child who doesn't know anything.

We shouldn't try to put God in a box or think we can limit Him - it only insults us, it doesn't affect Him or diminish Him in the slightest.

The creation of divine images, such as God, is one and the same with the creation of false idols, the image is not God and thus against Gods law. The Christian cross, which they parade around is a breach of such a divine law, any painting, drawing, sculpture etc of God or any part of the divine is a sin against God.
