why does hot water sound different from cold water?
when pouring. i think it might be something about the molecule size. Maybe they expand when heated?

Hot water releases the energy. Enthalpy is minus number.
Cold water absorbs the energy. So the entropy is plus number.

The size of the molecules doesnt change. The density of water remains relatively unchanged due to temp. I dont know that warm water and cold water DO sound different when pouring...do they? Is this a homework question, or just an observation?

The molecules in hot water are excited and move at a faster rate causing some to fly off in the form of steam. Cold water molecules move far slower so it sounds different.
