39 + 2 weeks, braxton hicks alllllllllllllll night, is real labour coming ?
My braxton hicks are about 8-10 minutes apart, they have been for almost 12 hours! Unfortunately, they are not getting stronger, i have had no mucus plug or bloody show either. what is going on? Rang the hospital about 7 hours ago and they told me to try to rest and come in as soon as they start getting painful. They expected it to happen in a few hours. It's not getting painful! What can i do? Is it really pre-labour ? And how long can this stage last ? Anybody stay at this stage for this long ? this is my 3rd child with 2 previous cections and i am booked in for another on friday, at this rate i will make it til then too!!

Wow, you're coming along! :-) I had the same thing, Braxton Hicks every 10 minutes, even with the cramping and back ache. But you're definitely getting there. Once they're like 5 minutes apart and can be timed to be almost exactly the same no matter what activity you're doing, then you better consider going in to the hospital or midwife. Best wishes!

this is what i am going through too.. for two days in a row. and its not getting better or worse. just sticking around.they are painful, but not getting stronger than what they are. so i chalk it up to another day of false labor....as usuall.......for me......this sucks............. and by the way My OB said if the contractions start in your back then wrap around to the front, those ARE real contractions, NOT braxton hicks, but if they dont get stronger, they are FALSE labor.which means your body is just bieng progressed very slowly until real labor kicks in..to which we hav eno way of knowing when.... soo good luck it could be a few days more, a week more, or maybe tonight!!! and this is my 2nd baby so im sick of hearing that *mothers with 2nd time or more come alot faster!* no they dont...not in my case......

If you want to go into labor try keeping active.
Maybe if you walk around or have sex it will keep those contractions going and push you into full blown labor?!

this sounds like slow labour, it can go on for days. GoodLuck :)
