New Burger King Commercial, thoughts?

Way to go Burger King, you got a lot of attention with this commercial, negative attention that is. I would hire a new marketing manager, you have utterly appalled much of the public. Congratulations on failing at selling something as simple as a food item. *Facepalm*

Now after that has been said, the commercial isn't funny, not in the least and it is prejudice all around, adding to the already abundant amounts of discrimination, lovely. They made a mistake on that commercial, that's for sure. Burger King wasted so much money to air a commercial that was lame and idiotic from the moment it started. So, so sad.

That right there is the reason i disposed of my television years ago, there is immense amounts of non-sense being spewed out on television today, i would rather increase my IQ, not diminish it.

I just saw the commercial and had to Google it to see if there were any others out there that were as appalled as I am...and sure enough, you are! I am a rottweiler owner and this is just another attempt to put down & criticize 2 very good breeds of dogs. I have worked in the pet care field for over 8 years and I have to say that some of the most wonderful dogs that I have ever worked with are pits & rotties. BK has never been a favorite of mine (I've actually gotten deathly ill after eating there once) but now they just made me ill without having to eat there!!!

Yes, everyone knows the whole "dogs & mailman" scenario, but it could have been the same commercial had they used 2 "cutsie" breeds (and not to mention the 2 dogs hanging from the mailman's legs aren't a pit bull or rotty.) I think overall it just a stupid commercial and maybe they should get back to the basics and maybe they wouldn't have so much negative feedback.

My own mailman (woman?) actually pointed this commercial out to me, and she thinks it's hilarious in the fact that those two breeds are the ones she usually has the least trouble from. She says that if they had a real mailman or at least on the job experience, then they would be using dachshunds (or in her own words, wiener dogs) and spaniels.

Thank goodness for the PVR, I rarely have to watch commercials. I did see if last night and, even though I was completely drunk at the time, I thought that it was totally stupid. My husband thought that it was retarded too.

I think it would appeal to a certain person, like maybe the redneck BK eating male ages 17-25 but other than that, I don't see why anyone would like it.

I haven't seen this on my tv yet either. Not only is that a HORRIBLE image for pits and rotties, but the whole "you wont get your check or subpoena" thing was WAY out of line as well, given the images of the people they showed. This by far one of the WORST things I've seen come from BK in a while, including their food. That's just ridiculous. I generally have a decent sense of humor, too, but this crosses it for me.

I 'm still trying to get over that creepy grinning "king" they have. Someone really needs to clean out their advertising dept.

The commercial is no different then the idiotic garbage tossed out to get our attention.

I've learned to brush it off,since this other bull **** with the media. I hate BK's food anyway. xD

As for the stereotypical BS about the dogs .....you expect a place that sells food intended to kill you to be any different from the rest of the ignorance out there?

Ugh... I was glad that they stop having blatantly misogynistic commercials, but then this is the trade-off? So we have breed- and socioeconomic discrimination. It's gross.
