Only God can give you the inner peace your soul craves. Religion has nothing to do with it.

Yes. My religion actually gives me inner peace. I think so, anyway.

I have found that my religion does actually give me inner peace. When I am practicing the traditions, when I am attending religious functions, I find inner peace. All of my worries fade away, and I become happy in a way that is so solid and untouchable. It is not a flickering happiness; it is a buoyant, uplifting happiness that lifts me beyond my material body and all its attachments. I feel like I am where and who I am meant to be, in these moments of inner peace. Confusion, anger, sadness, worry, they all fade away.

I have also found that, in extreme times of distress, when many things are going badly in my life, when I look to my spirituality, I get true relief from my troubles. When I look to God, my spiritual teachers, and spiritual hymns then even in these moments, I find inner peace. I feel loved. I feel supported. I feel like I am not supposed to fix all my problems myself. It is a good feeling; it is knowing that I have higher powers and people filled with love of God are looking after me. It makes me feel less lonely, too.

I was raised Catholic, and it did absolutely nothing for me in terms of inner peace. as I grew older, I ended up taking practices from Buddhism, Shamanism, Rastafarianism, and some basic Christian values and created my own form of religion with them. most of the time, it does actually give me a sense of inner peace.

Being free to pursue existential questions gives me inner peace. No religion gives me this freedom.

It does at certain times, but not all the time. I can get peace from other sources as well, but not to quite the same depth. However, that is not the reason I practice my religion; it's just a fringe benefit :)

    Why would I lie?

It is not something a Christian does that is bold for Jesus.

I have inner peace all the time knowing I belong to Jesus Christ.

You could have it too if you ever come out of the darkness that Satan has you trapped in.
